Abstract | In the annals of Indian history, few figures loom as large or command as much respect as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Emerging during a tumultuous period marked by colonial rule and social injustice, these two leaders played pivotal roles in shaping the course of India's history. Sardar Patel, known as the 'Iron Man of India'[1] was instrumental in India's struggle for independence and post-independence nation-building efforts. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, hailed as the 'Father of the Indian Constitution,' dedicated his life to fighting against caste-based discrimination and advocating for the rights of the oppressed. This report aims to compare and contrast the lives, ideologies, and contributions of these two visionary leaders, highlighting their similarities and differences and examining their lasting impact on India's history and future. |
