The Afterlife and the Cycle of Energy: A Hypothesis

| Abstract | This hypothesis proposes a scientific basis for reincarnation through the lens of the carbon cycle and biological energy transfer. All living organisms are composed primarily of carbon, which is continuously recycled within Earth’s biosphere. Upon death, an organism’s biomass releases carbon into the atmosphere and soil, where it is assimilated by plants via photosynthesis. This carbon then enters the food chain, eventually reaching humans and other animals. Over time, this process leads to the reconstitution of life forms from the same elemental matter, suggesting that the physical components of one organism can become part of another in subsequent generations. This closed-loop cycle provides a measurable, scientifically grounded framework to reinterpret reincarnation as a natural consequence of ecological and biochemical processes, rather than a purely metaphysical belief. |
