| Abstract | In Ayurveda, many practitioners hold that diagnosis and treatment should rely solely on classical Ayurvedic methods, resisting the adoption of modern scientific investigations. However, this review argues that combining modern diagnostic investigations with traditional Ayurvedic diagnostic tools can lead to more precise diagnoses and better patient outcomes. By integrating findings from observational and controlled studies, this article examines how modern investigations complement Ayurvedic diagnosis—highlighting their benefits, limitations, and implications for clinical practice. Ayurveda offers rich qualitative tools that excel in holistic assessment, modern diagnostics can provide complementary quantitative, anatomical, physiological insights. Together, they can lead to more accurate diagnosis, better monitoring, increased patient confidence, earlier detection of disease, and tailored therapies. |
