Categories Arising from Certain Algebraic Structures

Abstract In this paper, we describe the categories constructed from semigroups and rings. These categories are generalizations of the normal categories introduced by K.S.S.Nambooripad. The set of all cones of these categories have atleast one surjective component and we call such cones, ‘proper cones’. Further we discuss some interesting properties of such categories.
