Use of Multiple Intelligences Theory (Gardner) in Teaching–Learning Practices

Author(s) Md Nazimuddin Ahammed
Country India
Abstract Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences (1983) proposes that intelligence is not a single general ability but a combination of multiple cognitive capacities. In primary education, the application of this theory helps teachers design diverse activities that cater to children’s varied strengths and learning styles. This section explores how teachers can integrate linguistic, logical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, spatial, musical, bodily–kinesthetic, and naturalistic intelligences into classroom teaching to promote holistic development and inclusive learning.
Keywords Multiple Intelligences, Gardner, Child-Centered Pedagogy, Differentiated Instruction, Inclusive Education.
