The Reflection of Social Image through the Short Story “Asokhanda”: A Bird Eye Observation

Abstract The social image of the Bodo society is beautifully reflected in the short story “Askhanda” which is a short story from the book “Mr. Hybridni Gwlwmdwi Arw Mwdwi” written by glamorous writer J. D. Basumatary with his warm hand. In this story the writer reflected the events that repeatedly happened in the Bodo society very interestingly and these are Child Marriage (Undwi bwiswyao haba janai), pushing family condition to worse by consumption of more liquor and in addition to this they use to sell local wine by making at their home to run their family by which their condition became more worse condition. The social image of the Bodo society that reflected through the short story “Asokhanda” is try to observe through the bird’s eye is going to discuss in detail through this article.
