Abstract Palmoplantar psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune dermatological condition characterized by thickening, fissuring, scaling, and pain over palms and soles. Ayurveda correlates this condition with Vipadika, a type of Kshudra Kushtha predominantly involving Vata and Kapha dosha. A 59-year-old female patient suffering from palmoplantar psoriasis for four years with poor response and relapse after long-term methotrexate therapy was treated with an Ayurvedic protocol consisting of external application of Jeevantyadi Yamak Sneha with Avagaha Swedana using Eranda Taila. Marked improvement in fissures, pain, scaling, and itching was observed within 30 days. This case highlights the effectiveness of Ayurvedic
external Sneha and Swedana therapy in a chronic autoimmune skin disorder with minimal risk of adverse effects.
