| Abstract | This study determined the implementation, management and sustainability of community-based tourism in the province of Antique, Philippines for the Fiscal Year 2025. A total of 238 Barangay Captains from 18 municipalities were randomly selected as respondents using Slovin’s formula and stratified proportionate random sampling. The research employed a descriptive-correlational design, examining the implementation, management and sustainability of community-based tourism as dependent variables and age, sex, educational attainment, location, and size of barangay as independent variables. Data were gathered using a validated and reliable researcher-made questionnaire, and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean) and inferential tools (t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s r), with a significance level of 0.05. SPSS software was used for all computations. Findings revealed that the extent of implementation of community-based tourism was “Very Great,” while the level of management and sustainability of community-based tourism were “Very High” across all demographic classifications. No significant differences were found in the extent of implementation and level of management and sustainability of community-based tourism as assessed by respondents grouped by sex, educational attainment, and location of the barangay, but differences emerged based on age and size of the barangay. Importantly, the study found significant positive relationships among implementation, management, and sustainability of community-based tourism. |
