| Abstract | From Ancient times women in our land were not given proper treatment. Her social position was never at par with men. She was not given the basic rights to live along with the men. They were even equated to animals and put to the lowest strata of humanity. Women degraded by the “Manusmriti” the ancient Hindu Code-book, in the Indian society.in his word’s Ambedkar said that “women have no right to study the vedas”. She was put to the lowest rug of humanity as she was treated at par with animals and slaves by the upper community of Hindu Dharma. Such was the placement earmarked to our mothers, sisters, and even great grandmothers that humanity ashamed. |
