Abstract A woman is entitled to the highest respect as a mother. However, with the power she possesses, she also becomes entitled to divinity. In contemporary times, the East and the West are playing an active role in the status of women. A doctrine called feminism has also been created regarding the rights and justice of women, which speaks of the equality of women and men, because women have been considered a neglected and oppressed class throughout the ages. But the question arises, was the status of women not discussed in the scriptures before the emergence of the doctrine called feminism? Because the issue of 'position of women' is not only a social or political issue, but beyond social and political issues, it is also considered a spiritual issue. And the thinking of the people of India is the best on the subject of spirituality. Because the influence of the Vedas and Upanishads is at the root of the thinking of the people of India. The interpretations of the great Indian sages, which are based on the Vedas and Upanishads and have been expressed in language, have given rise to what we consider Indian philosophy. So, the question is, what is the position of women in Indian philosophy? I will explore the answer to this question in this article. Although the Vedas' influence is at the root of Indian philosophy, there are some Indian communities that do not accept their authority and are identified as atheists. In my article, I will mention the position of women in the primary Vedic meditation concept, but secondarily the position of women will be discussed in the light of non-Vedic concepts.
