| Abstract | The present paper deals with a single period inventory model with exponentially increasing demand for both deteriorating and non-deteriorating items which are stored in two different warehouses. The demand is assumed to occur in a uniform pattern during a planning period. Both non-deteriorating items and deteriorating items are considered for the discussion and the results obtained are shown to agree with classical models. Inventory models for deteriorating items have been considered by many researchers in the recent times. A known fact is that it is very difficult to develop a model that reflects the reality as close as possible simultaneously simple for analysis. |
