Abstract This project presents the design and implementation of a LiDAR-guided autonomous campus delivery robot using ROS 2 and a Raspberry Pi 4. The system performs mapping, localization, and path planning using SLAM techniques based on LiDAR data. Additional sensors such as the MPU6050 and HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor enhance navigation accuracy and obstacle detection. The Raspberry Pi processes sensor data and sends control commands to an ESP32, which drives the motors through an L298N Motor Driver. The robot is capable of autonomous navigation and can carry small payloads for delivery tasks within campus environments. Overall, the system provides a cost-effective and reliable solution for autonomous delivery applications.
Keywords Autonomous Delivery Robot, ROS 2, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), Path Planning and Navigation, Obstacle Avoidance, Raspberry Pi 4.
