Kudumbashree and Women’s Economic Development: a Study of Empowerment and Livelihood Enhancement in Kerala

Abstract This research paper discusses how Kudumbashree has improved the economic development of women in the area by offering microfinance and entrepreneurship programs as well as empowerment programs. The results show that there are great gains in income, employment, and financial inclusion among women.Inclusive growth and sustainable development is an essential part of the economic development of women. In India, there are several governmental programs that have been carried out to empower women economically, socially and politically.
