Abstract This study examines the impact of geopolitical tensions (US–Israel–Iran conflicts) and fuel price volatility on gig workers in India over the period 2015–2025. Using a panel-based econometric framework, the study analyzes how global conflict-induced oil price shocks affect income stability, employment intensity, and welfare conditions of platform workers in the delivery economy. The objective is to quantify the sensitivity of gig income to fuel price fluctuations and global conflict indices. The methodology employs a multiple linear regression model using SPSS on a 10-year dataset. The results indicate a statistically significant negative relationship between fuel price increases and gig worker income, while conflict intensity indirectly reduces demand stability. The study concludes that geopolitical instability significantly worsens economic precarity in India’s platform economy.
