Women in Indian Startups: Growth and Challenges

Author(s) Ms. Maninder Kaur
Country India
Abstract In recent decades, the perception of women's entrepreneurship in India has evolved significantly. Once overlooked, women are now recognized as key drivers of economic growth. As education and awareness have increased, women have emerged as inspirational business leaders, contributing substantially to the nation's progress. Comparing family dynamics to a chariot, where both male and female members propel it forward, women's participation in entrepreneurship is vital for balanced development. This paper explores the landscape of women's entrepreneurship in India, emphasizing government schemes supporting women entrepreneurs. It also highlights the challenges women face and suggests policy recommendations to overcome these barriers. Shaping women entrepreneurs with the right skills and entrepreneurial mindset is essential for adapting to changing market trends, ensuring their continued success and contribution to the nation's economy.
