| Abstract | As rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, digital revolution, and data-driven decision making rapidly transform our ways of working, the global hospitality industry is also experiencing an unprecedented change. Intelligent AI-powered systems (e.g., virtual assistants, intelligent reservation systems, recommendation engines, robotic service delivery, data-driven dynamic pricing and revenue management, smart room controls, personalized CRM etc.) continue to restructure the processes of value creation in hospitality organizations. Even as technological innovations improve hospitality operations and customers’ experience and satisfaction, a multitude of critical and perplexing issues-such as ethics, human interaction, sustainable practices, cultural preservation and authenticity, and responsible innovation, - continue to confront hospitality managers. This context has reignited interest among academicians in the integration of innovation with indigenous knowledge systems-primarily grounded on values of ethics, human relationships, and sustainable development. Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), born from millennia of philosophical practices and socio-cultural traditions- with core concepts like Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is Divine); Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The world is One Family); Dharma (ethical principles, duty, law); Seva (selfless service); and Ayurveda principles – can significantly provide an enriched and holistic framework of hospitality services in the digital age that aligns well with ethical, humanitarian, and human-centric organizational principles. The study propose an integration of AI and IKS towards understanding the dual impact of these systems in driving digital transformation in the hospitality industry. |
