| Abstract | This paper examines the effects of Stokes drag and Earth oblateness on the resonant motion of an Earth satellite. In the presence of Stokes drag, seven resonances 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, 1:2, 2:3, 3:2, and 4:3, occur and due to the oblateness of the Earth, three resonances, 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1, occur, which are not independent. |
